CEMRO-SA was born when a group of close friends who not only has family and friends locally, but all over the world, recognised the need for specialised intervention to ensure the safety of South African citizens, International Visitors, Travellers, Tourists, Students, Business People, etc when visiting or temporarily reside in South Africa. The idea of bringing this Non-Profit Company with a variety of public benefit services to life, was in the planning stages for quite some time, and near to finalising the last bit of logistics, but when they were informed of a young student from the US that went missing in Cape Town, and they read her dad’s pleas on social media, looking for his daughter who went missing, it just broke everyone’s hearts. Imagine being thousands of kilometres away from your loved ones, and you have no way to find them. You cannot reach them via mobile communication, and that in a foreign country. Something happens to them and they have no help, don’t know who to call or no one to rely on in the country. Sadly, her body was later found, and it was discovered that she fell while hiking a part of Table Mountain. She passed away due to injuries. Imagine if she was able to alert someone for help, or had a way of being tracked to identify her last known position. Her life might have been saved. This caused the founders to skip all additional planning, and they jumped right in, to get the ball rolling.
Mission
Our mission is to provide emergency medical rescue services to everyone in need in South Africa, and to enhance these services with technology that pinpoints an individual’s location or last known position, while also alerting us when urgent intervention is required. Be it security, medical, or other assistance. Further more, we aim to strengthen public safety by partnering with community safety groups (urban and rural), providing specialised support through advanced drone technology, enhancing the protection of these volunteer patrollers and the safety of the general public.

Aligned with this vision, we will strengthen public safety by partnering with community safety groups in both urban and rural areas, providing specialised assistance through advanced drone technology, enhancing the protection of volunteer patrollers and the safety of the general public.
